A superb, smooth St Chinian red from steep hills close to the Mediterranean in the Languedoc of southern France.
Located a little inland from the Mediterranean coast, the Saint Chinian area of the Languedoc produces smooth red blends brimming with intense red berry flavours complemented by the signature scents of the region, wild thyme and rosemary.
St Chinian Rouge 'Les Schistes' Borie la Vitarèle 2017 comes from ancient vines planted on steep slopes which are amongst the highest in the region. Les Schistes, is intensely aromatic and complex with notes of sweet spice, rich plums, dark fruits, chocolate and earth. Les Schistes is powerful, yet has great finesse with smooth tannins and a lingering finish.
