2021 Livio Felluga Friulano
A high quality, wonderfully complex Italian white wine from Friuli-Venezia-Giulia
Livio Felluga's vineyards straddle the famous Colli Orientali and Collio wine regions in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia situated in the Julian Alps, in northwest Italy, on the border with Slovenia. There are few producers who have been more important in defining the quality image of Italian white wines than Livio Felluga. Here Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio are grown. Friulano, also known as Sauvignon Vert or Sauvignonasse is the local favourite and delivers aromatic wines with almond notes.
The Livio Felluga Friulano is straw yellow in colour. The nose is intense with complex aromas of mint, lemon peel, vanilla, ginger and white pepper, which interlace with herbal notes of thyme and rosemary. The wine is well balanced, full and elegant with a pleasant acidity and a quintessential bitter almond aftertaste on the long finish.
