The good news is that some of the UK’s Michelin-starred restaurants in Tier 1 and Tier 2 will reopen and be able to operate in some capacity from 2 December. Further good news is that Winecroft members can now drink even more great wines from their wine lists, at a fraction of the cost, even those that remain closed. We have 18 brilliant new additions, 13 reds and 5 whites, increasing the Winecroft club list to 80 wines.
Among the new white wines there is a wonderful Chablis, the 2015 Domaine des Malandes Chablis Premier Cru Vau de Vey, which is drinking perfectly. This steely, nervy, fresh, energetic style of Chardonnay is a classic. It has been on the list at London’s Michelin-starred St John restaurant for a while. Perfect with or without food.
One of the delicious new reds is the 2015 Bodegas Jimenez-Landi Piélago, a top quality delicious old-vine Garnacha from the new wave Spanish wine region of Sierra de Gredos. It is a favourite at West London’s two Michelin-starred Core by Clare Smyth. A delicate, fragrant Garnacha with wild strawberry and rose petal aromas and loads of Spanish character.
These a just a couple of the incredible new wines that are now available to members on the Winecroft Club Winelist.
