Featured Red Wine for October – 2018 Franz Haas Pinot Nero

The Winecroft featured red wine for October is the 2018 Franz Haas Pinot Nero.  It is a gorgeous light red from the mountainous Alto Adige region of northern Italy that simply must be tried.  It is produced by Franz Haas who is emerging as one of the region’s greatest winemakers.  It has the most delicate of colour and on the palate, it has lush flavours of strawberry, blackberry, tobacco, dried lavender, and chocolate. The alpine acidity ensures freshness. Outstanding, and a must for Pinot Noir lovers the world over.

It is on the wine lists of many top restaurants including The Walnut Tree, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Abergavenny, Wales.
