François Villard, a professional chef who planted his first vines in 1989 and quickly became one of the stars of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône region.  He is now probably one of the most talented winemakers of his generation with his wines are found on the winelists of  France's greatest restaurants.

François Villard's Saint Joseph 'Pepper and Soil'  made from 100% Syrah vines has a vibrant acidity, fine tannins and an abundance of fresh raspberries, cherries, redcurrants and cranberries. Cracked black pepper spice lingers teasingly on the finish
