Kevin White lives in Seattle, Washington State and works for Microsoft. So how come he produces such delicious Rhone-style red wines? It all started in 2006, when Kevin became a lover of Washington’s finest red wines and began an unexpected journey to become a wine producer. Over the course of the next four years, he traveled back and forth to Eastern Washington vineyards from Microsoft and worked under the tutelage of some of Washington’s leading winemakers.
Established in 2010, the Kevin White Winery set out to produce hand-crafted wines that are complex, balanced, and pair well with food. Kevin’s love for wines from the Rhone Valley in France has led him to focus primarily on Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedré from cooler climate vineyards in the Yakima Valley. In 2012, Kevin released his first wine that promptly sold out within weeks and he has gone on to win multiple wine-making awards.
The Kevin White Blue Label jumps out as a lively blend of cherry, plum, and blueberry aromas with floral and spice notes. On the palate, these flavours are wrapped around a medium body with soft tannins leading toward a lovely finish. This wine is a tribute to the Côtes-du-Rhône blends that are perfect to enjoy… well, anytime.

This was my favourite wine from this month’s box as it really stood out with its uniqueness. Extremely silky mouth feel and intense cherry and sweet spices with some coffee and oak notes. Love it.
