2020 Quinta dos Carvalhais Branco Reserva

The 105 hectare Quinta dos Carvalhais is a beautiful property in Mangualde commune in the Dão region of Portugal, owned by the Guedes family.  The estate combines the most up-to-date techniques with extensive experience of traditional winemaking practices.

This is not your typical Dão white, or Portuguese white for that matter. A blend of traditional Dão white grapes, predominately Encruzado together with Verdelho, that have been aged for around 36 months in French and Russian oak barrels.  A buttery and nutty nose with honey and citrus. On the palate the wine is complex, rich and dry.  Very elegant with a strong personality. An award-winning wine.
