Châteauneuf du Pape is the most important appellation in the southern Rhône. The gloriously rich red wines, redolent of the heat and herbs of the south, are enhanced by the complexity which comes from blending several of the 14 permitted grape varieties including Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah.
The Domaine Grand Veneur Châteauneuf du Pape is deliciously complex with great structure. It is ripe and velvety in feel, with dark plum sauce, blackberry preserves and warm fig flavours coursing through. Tobacco, dried lavender and chocolate notes add grip on the finish.
