2017 Finca Agostino Familia Tinto

Finca Agostino is the story of four brothers: Vincenzo, Rosalía, Sebastian and Miguel Agostino, who lived their childhood in Mendoza before settling with their family in Canada in the sixties. The memory of Mendoza remained in their minds as the land of their childhood; a period of their lives shared with their grandfather Sebastiano, surrounded by the vineyards which he loved.  The Agostino brothers promised themselves to come back to Mendoza, with the dream of building a winery that would honour their grandfather so in 2003 they returned to Mendoza to make their dream come true.   In Finca Agostino they use environmentally sustainable work practices and “no till farming” in 100% of their vineyards resulting in long term soil fertility.

The Agostino Familia Tinto represents the tight connection between the four Agostino brothers and is a red blend of four selected grape varieties - the aromatic complexity of Malbec, the spices of Syrah, the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the personality of Petit Verdot.  On the nose, aromas of black fruits prevail, with a distinct smokiness with notes of toasted almonds, spices and vanilla. The palate is ample, well-structured with amazing length.
