2018 Tokara Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon

Tokara is an Instagram destination if there ever was one.  At the centre of the Cape Winelands lies the Simonsberg mountain, a fynbos-rich massif, home to exceptional vineyards since the 17th century. It’s on the southern slopes, with unrivalled views over False Bay to Table Mountain, that you will find Tokara's vineyards.

The Tokara Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc with the grapes originating from Tokara’s best vineyards.

The wine displays a vibrant maroon colour.  On the nose are dark berry fruits, five spice and cedar wood. There is a brightness and vibrancy underlying all these aromas with hints of fresh herbs and red currant notes.  The palate has great complexity with and there is a wonderful long finish.

The 2016 is drinking well now.
