2019 Bertrand Sourdais Ribera del Duero ‘Antidoto’

Located in Castilla y Leon, halfway between Bilbao and Madrid, Ribera del Duero is a vast and arid fine wine region known for its extremes of temperature and the quality of its rich, meaty red wines.  The primary grape here is Tinto Fino (AKA Tempranillo).  In the last 30 years, Ribera del Duero has risen up to challenge Rioja for the crown of Spain's greatest wine region.

Highlighted as one of the new Ribero del Duero producers to watch, Bertrand Sourdais' Ribera del Duero ‘Antidoto’  is sourced from the very best vineyard sites in Ribera del Duero using vines which are at least 60 years old.  Antidoto is an opulent, extraordinary wine with juicy, plush blackberries and plum characters and undertones of spicy cracked black pepper and earth.
