2019 Valle Secreto First Edition Carménère

Chile has 2,700 miles of Pacific Ocean coastline with the towering Andes to the east.  The Cachapoal Valley slices across the country just south of the capital Santiago.  Here the cool night air and stony soils promote complexity and freshness in the wines.  Viña Valle Secreto is a boutique winery producing high-quality, award-winning wines characterized by their fruit intensity and freshness. Carménère is the home grape.  It originated in Bordeaux but now grows almost only in Chile, the best in the Cachapoal Valley. The wine is treasured for its supple red-and-black berry flavours and herbaceous green pepper notes.
