2020 Tenuta Valdipiatta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
An aristocratic, full-bodied fruity Italian red from Montepulciano in Tuscany
When it comes to Tuscan red wine, Sangiovese is king and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of three great Sangiovese areas in Tuscany along with Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino. It is certainly the oldest and the smallest. Stylistically, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano combines the richness of Brunello di Montalcino with the perfume of Chianti Classico.
Located at the heart of the Vino Nobile zone, Tenuta Valdipiatta, an intimate estate boasting only 30 hectares of vines is a stellar Montepulciano winery and is one of the most prestigious in Tuscany.
The Tenuta Valdipiatta Vino Nobile has fruity black cherry, blackberry and raspberry flavours with subtle floral notes of violets, together with spices and tobacco. It has a wonderfully smooth long finish.
