2022 Gabriëlskloof Elodie Chenin Blanc
Big and bold South African white from old Chenin Blanc vines
Gabriëlskloof is a beautiful wine estate located near Bot River in the Overberg region east of Cape Town, east of Cape Town. The two vineyards used to make this wine are situated in the Paardeberg region of the Swartland, now considered to be the Cape's most exciting wine district. Its ancient soils air-conditioned by the Atlantic Ocean nearby, enabling old vine Chenin Blanc to thrive.
The 'Elodie' is a rich and bold example of Swartland Chenin Blanc with flavours of citrus pith, dried pineapple and almonds. Full, waxy mouthful with great acidity and freshness.
