2018 Franz Haas `Lepus`
A big and flavoursome full-bodied Pinot Bianco white wine from Alto Adige in the foothills of the Dolomites in Northern Italy
The region of Alto Adige produce Italy's most alpine wines. The cool nights, even in the height of summer, enable very focused fruit flavours. Franz Haas is emerging as one of it's greatest winemakers. He goes to tremendous lengths to grow good grapes and then strives to preserve the flavours of the fruit during winemaking.
The Franz Haas 'Lepus', made from 100% Pinot Bianco grapes, is full of character, fruity, spicy, round and full. It has ripe, red apple, pear and fresh bread crust flavours with a long, fruity finish.
£25 now, and £25 on the 15th of each month
